Bistro Live Covid-19 Update
Boris Johnson (when talking about Christmas parties 08-12-21):
“people should not cancel them, but should follow the guidance”
Following the recent government announcement regarding the latest measures that have come out in response to the Omicron variant of Coronavirus, we’d like to reassure all of our customers about your upcoming visit to Bistro Live (Leicester, Nottingham, Milton Keynes).
How do the latest measures apply to Bistro Live ?
Well, in terms of operating our restaurants, not much will change.
These are not required to be worn in hospitality settings such as pubs and restaurants, nor in venues where it is ‘not practical to wear them’.
Quote from Gov.uk:
“From Friday 10 December, face coverings will become compulsory in most public indoor venues, such as cinemas, theatres and places of worship. There will be exemptions in venues where it is not practical to wear one, such as when you are eating, drinking or exercising. For that reason, face masks will not be required in hospitality settings”.
NHS Covid Pass
People will NOT need a Covid pass for entry into Bistro Live
Because it is only required for nightclubs and indoor seated venues with more than 500 people.
(This measure is subject to parliamentary approval on Wednesday 15th December, and if approved will be applicable from that date).
Lateral Flow Tests
The Government is ‘advising’ people to do a lateral flow test before going out to crowded places.
The safety of our customers and staff is extremely important to us and therefore we would ask all customers to follow the government advice and do a lateral flow test before visiting, and if this is positive, follow the guidelines and self-isolate.
This is a personal responsibility however, and Bistro Live will not ask to see proof before entry.
We are doing our part - all of our restaurant staff are required to take a lateral flow test, and MUST show proof of a negative result before being allowed to work.
Boris Johnson has been quoted as saying (when talking about Christmas parties 08-12-21): “people should not cancel them, but should follow the guidance”.
Therefore, there is no reason for anyone to cancel their Christmas party at Bistro Live, and our parties will be going ahead as planned.
